Photographer Dorothea Lange captured the spirit of the 1930s in her photographs, and some of the most iconic shots (such as the last photograph above, picturing Florence Owens Thompson) were taken by her. These come in especially handy for my increased interest in the period after having just finished watching Carnivále.
